Hey!
It’s a good day for another round-up of the beauty products I rate highly. This time I’ll look into hair masks – one of the basic hair care products each of us should have in the bathroom.
Which hair masks are best?
Have I got a favorite?
Keep reading to find out! I will try to be brief and sum up the most important details on each of the products so you can easily decide which of the presented hair masks is the best for your hairdo.
THE BEST HAIR MASKS
FYI, this is a list of my personal picks. I share my opinions on the products based on my experiences – I tested each of the masks for two months or longer. What was the result?
No. 1 Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

Nanoil keratin mask is an unquestionable winner in my ranking. This protein-based mask has been made for damaged, brittle and splitting hair. Believe it or not, I use it every time I wash my hair because it’s so lightweight that it never weighed my strands down. It always brings smoothness, de-frizzes and makes hair easy to detangle. As a protein treatment, it repairs the hair because it’s rich in revitalizing hydrolyzed keratin and hydrating panthenol. Even using such a wonderful mask as Nanoil, you can’t expect an overnight hair make-over. The in-depth repair takes some time but it’s worth it. I heartily recommend Nanoil Keratin Mask because it works brilliantly and I’m sure you won’t find a better one at this price range.

No. 2 Wella Professionals SP Luxe Oil Mask

Wella SP Luxe is one of my top picks too. You can get this nourishing mask for damaged hair at a really good price. I just wish it was bigger. Next to keratin, which is able to revive wrecked hair, it contains three oils I rate highly in hair care. It’s argan oil, jojoba oil and almond oil, which take a few uses to make the hair more resilient, much smoother, glossy and less frizzy. It works more slowly than Nanoil but I believe it will prove enough for hair which is in a quite good condition.
No. 3 Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Mask

I also like the mask from the Caviar Anti-Aging line by Alterna, but it’s pretty expensive and is getting hard to find which I know because I was trying to find the full list of ingredients. So if you want to try it, you’ll need to browse through the Internet. Is it worth the effort? Definitely it is if you’re big on exclusive cosmetic ingredients such as sea silk or caviar extract. This mask also contains vitamin C and is based on technologies called Enzyme Therapy, Age-Control and Color Hold which allow us to delay the aging process in hair and protect the color so strands look shiny and lovely no matter how old we are. Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture is quite thick and should be left in hair for 2-3 minutes and rinsed out so the application isn’t problematic at all.
No. 4 Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine

I can’t skip Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine in my ranking. I guess it’s the most popular brand among professionals. I often test Kérastase products despite the high prices. Only some of them proved a pleasant surprise, though. The hair-smoothening Discipline Maskeratine is one of them. It’s rich in Morpho-Kératine Complex which restores softness and resilience, and counteracts frizz. It is a blend of arginine, wheat proteins and other proteins which bring back hair health and lovely appearance. I just wish the brand did something about the formulas and added more natural substances. Most of the ingredients in the INCI have names that I can’t even pronounce. Still, they do work well. Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine is good for smoothing and softening, and makes hair very easy to style and blow-dry.
No. 5 Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask

If you want to see the effect of macadamia oil on your hair, then try a hair mask from Macadamia, a brand known for using this very oil in the products. This repairing mask for dry and damaged hair is also rich in argan oil, tea tree oil, seaweed extract and aloe leaf juice. It’s a cool blend which hydrates, nourishes, smooths and strengthens the hair provided it isn’t extremely damaged and doesn’t require hair-rebuilding keratin proteins. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask will support your daily hair care routine enhancing the hair that’s lost shine and health. I think it will work on any hair but naturally it depends on your expectations.
