Hey,
I’ve been asked to write a review of a mascara I use and swear by so here you go: Lashcode Mascara review. It’s the best mascara I’ve got so far, even more so because my lashes are pretty demanding when it comes to make-up.
Sit back & read on!
A brief intro
If you follow my posts you must have read that I wasn’t happy with my eyelashes. They were never as voluminous as other girls’. I used to have sparse, short, stubborn straight lashes so applying mascara for nice effect was a challenge. I preferred to wear fake lashes and get it over with.
I use the past tense because the thing changed completely after I got two wonderworking products: Nanolash Eyelash Serum and Lashcode Mascara.
You must be familiar with the former since I’ve mentioned it numerously. It’s a professional lash growth serum which let me grow long and thick lashes. I heartily recommend it if you lose lots of lashes and have serious lash-related problems.
The other product is my discovery of recent weeks and I’d love to write about this wonderworker 🙂
Lashcode Mascara: size, price, ingredients & my first impressions
It’s a bit pricier than a drugstore mascara but I’m used to the fact that high quality costs more. Tbh, you pay similar price for Collistar or Yves Saint Laurent and they aren’t that good…
Lashcode Mascara has a gorgeous tube design. I’m big on subtle colors, minimalist logos and simple form so this one caught my eye. The bottle is solid and holds 10 ml of velvet-like, intense black formula which gives amazing make-up as well as has a conditioning effect on lashes every time you wear it.
Lashcode composition is made of:
– black mineral pigment
– plant waxes (including carnauba wax)
– arginine i.e. valuable amino acid
– vitamin of youth (E)
– panthenol (provitamin B5)
– wheat and soy germ extracts
– Baicalein (Baikal skullcap extract)
Lashcode made a very good first impression though I know that both for you and for me the key thing is whether the product boosts lash volume and length, if it’s long-wear, etc.
Let’s get to the bottom line, then.
What does Lashcode do in make-up?
I’ve already told you that my lashes don’t cooperate with mascaras right? Here’s an update: my lashes don’t cooperate with mascaras except for Lashcode. They get along very well! Lashcode and my lashes clicked 🙂
There are two vital things making Lashcode give the mind-blowing look: applicator and formula.
1. Silicone brush in Lashcode is ergonomic, has an optimal size whereas the bristles have varied length and they are arranged so as to get to the tiniest lashes e.g. corner lashes.
2. Velvet-like formula is lightweight, it doesn’t build up causing clumps and smudging but instead it coats hairs evenly for fabulous, jet-black lashes.
Briefly on how long it stays on lashes 🙂
Is Lashcode long-wear?
Lashcode is not waterproof. If you’re moved to tears or walk in the rain, there’s no way it doesn’t run down but I guess it’s the case with all mascaras.
I had no problems using this mascara for my daily make-up. It is applied easily, gives an incredible definition, no clumping, flaking off or getting on eyelids. Hands down, it lasts untouched throughout a very long busy day.
Non-waterproof formula makes Lashcode one of few mascaras that come off very easily. You can actually take it off using a cotton pad soaked in warm water, I’m not joking!
Doubtless it’s the best mascara ever and I’m going to keep on recommending it 🙂
