Fake Bake. I’m testing two self-tanners ’60 Minutes’ & ‘Flawless’

Hey all you Beautiful!

Today I’m going to COMPARE TWO PRODUCTS, two top self-tanners: Fake Bake 60 Minutes and Fake Bake Flawless. I’ve just finished testing both of them, and therefore I’m ready to describe you my experience with the self-tanners.

Why Fake Bake?

Is there anybody who hasn’t heard about Fake Blake self-tanners? I have the impression that this brand’s popularity is so huge that even people who don’t care about fake tan must have already heard about it. Reportedly, Fake Blake is the most popular brand of premium self-tanners. What does it really mean?

Premium is mostly about the price. Indeed, Fake Blake self-tanners are awfully expensive, which means that you must spend a small fortune to get the products for yourself. I guess, the most expensive is body and face self-tanner (Flawless Coconut Serum) sold in white-and-golden packaging.

Once again, I’ve chosen two liquid self-tanners: 60 Minutes and Flawless. They look almost the same, are equally popular, yet there are a few differences between them. Let’s get them compared!

Fake Bake self-tanners

What do both products by Fake Bake have in common (apart from the high price, obviously)?

These are quite exceptional self-tanners that – despite having different form and consistency – produce comparable effects. The incredibly natural-looking and pronounced tan can be achieved due to the trio of bronzing substances that – as far as I’m concerned – occur naturally: DHA, DMI and erythrulose.

These aren’t just regular substances used in self-tanners. They are responsible for giving us natural-looking effects and have a slower, similar to the natural process of developing tan. What’s more, Fake Bake self-tanners are connected by yet another quality: the long-lasting effect that leaves your skin tanned for a few weeks.

Self-tanner 1: Fake Bake 60 Minutes

I started with Fake Bake 60 Minutes. It’s said that this is the best self-tanner for the beginners because it produces subtle effects and helps you work out your own way of applying a self-tanner. What should you know about Fake Bake 60 Minutes? Here are a few things I want to tell you.

  • The name refers to the application method – the producer recommends to remove the self-tanner after 60 minutes; you shouldn’t also let it sit for longer than 3 hours because it may irritate the skin.
  • I was positively surprised by the tropical aroma of this self-tanner that sadly is fast to fade away and become similar to a regular self-tanner, yet not so clear – luckily.
  • This is a liquid self-tanner that is fast-absorbed by skin and easy to spread over body, especially when you make use of the glove that comes with the product.
  • The application is really quick and the effects last even 2 weeks (providing you don’t use body scrubs).
  • A huge plus for high efficiency because one package lasts 6 months or even more (when used regularly).

Self-tanner 2: Fake Bake Flawless

Although I’m totally satisfied with the effects achieved with 60 Minutes, I decided to give Fake Bake Flawless a go, too. After all, I wanted to make a comparison, and I was curious whether it produces clear effects as well. And again, here is what I observed.

  • This version of self-tanner has to sit on body definitely longer – it has to be removed no sooner than after 6-8 hours.
  • The aroma is far worse – at the beginning, it isn’t that bad but later it releases a classic self-tanner smell.
  • Alike 60 Minutes, Flawless is a liquid self-tanner that is really convenient to spread on body, yet it needs more time to absorb, therefore I applied it (and I recommend you to do the same) at least in 2 hours before going to bed.
  • When it comes to the effects, they last 2 weeks, which is cool for me.
  • The biggest asset of Flawless self-tanner are the results – natural-looking and defined body tan just as if you got it after spending a week or two on an island.

Would I recommend Fake Blake?

At the beginning, I wasn’t convinced that these self-tanners would be okay. High price, liquid form (it appears to be difficult to apply)… I thought that it would be money down the drain, yet I decided to test both of them.

It appeared that this was a good decision because Fake Bake self-tanners produce OUTSTANDING EFFECTS. The body tan is really natural-looking, no smudges and it lasts for 2 weeks. I was positively surprised that achieving natural effect of body tan doesn’t require putting any effort into it – application is simple.

Surely, I’ll buy Fake Bake again. The only dilemma though is which one I should choose: 60 Minutes or perhaps stronger Flawless? Hmm…
