At-home SPA – The perfect evening for homebody

Hey!

I know that #stayhome is no longer trending but many people still prefer the better safe than sorry approach. What is more, we kind of get used to peaceful at home life. In my opinion, it’s a good thing because after all, we take care of our house, we buy all sorts of gadgets, decorations, plants, technological novelties, and beauty products so that we can enjoy them in the comfort of our own home – alone or with someone. Today, I want to tell you all about how you can spend a relaxing time at home and feel 100% as you’d be in a SPA. Join me into the relaxation and beauty filled evening!

What is the SPA?

It’s simply a number of activities that are expected to relax you and they often involve BEAUTY treatments that are to:

  • CALM SENSES
  • RELAX YOU AFTER A LONG DAY
  • REGENERATE AND NOURISH, OR BEAUTIFY

What are the SPA effects?

Treating yourself to regular SPA day is a perfect method for a great mood nonstop! Fragrances, oils, and candles, or great music will be a guarantee of a great mood.

The SPA day is also about beautiful, refreshed, and relaxed skin, conditioned hair. In a few words, it will make you look and feel beautiful top to bottom.

Moreover, the SPA is closely related to aromatherapy so is able to calm even long-lasting stress. Don’t get me wrong, in no way, I think that you should treat depression with a scented bath. What I mean is that every human being needs to recharge, rest, and let their overworked head have some breather.

How to prepare for the SPA?

You will need a few gadgets but you don’t need to spend a small fortune on the SPA. Especially considering that most things you can find at your own home. Probably 90% of the ingredients are in your kitchen right now and I will tell you all about them.

The mood in your bathroom (because that is where the SPA takes place) can be ensured with candles (it’s cool if you have soy candles but regular ones are good too). I use tiny tea-lights wherever I can – in decorative jars, on a plate, I decorate the entire thing with rose petals or orange peel because those smell amazing.

Take music with you and I mean any music you like as far as it sets you with the right mood. Do you know what goes great with a relaxing bath? Sea waves noise or raindrops. Marvelous!
Besides it all, a romantic light, such as cotton balls or other low light will provide stunning effect, it will relax and calm you.

At-home SPA – ideas, steps

Now step by step – what should you implement in the SPA when it comes to cosmetics? I use Himalayan salt which I earlier mix with essential oils. Additionally, I do a DIY exfoliator that is a mix of coffee dregs and argan oil (e.g. Nanoil). If you feel like it, you can apply a face mask, e.g. with white clay, and rub natural oil in hair. The effect after washing it down is pleasantly surprising. The hair become soft, perfectly moisturized, full of gloss, and volumed. Hair becomes nice in touch. Before you start rinsing down the oil from your hair, you can apply to hair some hair mask – it will make washing down the oil that much easier.

The bath with music, scented oil, salt, exfoliator, and massage, hair oil treatment is very relaxing. Later on – depending on whether you have time for it or not – you can do some manicure and pedicure.
